Theimagefile, SWPP & BPPA and One Vison imaging are co-sponsoring an exiting and challenging new competition open to all professional and semi-professional photographers. The competition is designed to inspire and enthuse creativity now that spring is with us and our natural inclinations are to turn away from the computer and take advantage of the light and explosion of regeneration all around.

The prizes are fantastic the winner receives £200 in cash, membership to theimagefile for an entire year at just £1.17pcm, a free ticket to the SWPP & BPPA Convention and trade show in January 2008, along with a free pass to any of the seminars, their winning entry printed by One Vision on a choice of product and a bag of goodies. The two runners up receive £100 in cash, membership of theimagefile for an entire year at just £1.17 pcm free tickets to the SWPP & BPPA Convention and trade show with a free pass to any of the seminars their entry printed by One Vision as prints and a bag of goodies.

Entries are invited in the form of triptychs (A triptych [pronounced “trip-tick from the Greek tri- “three” and ptyche “fold”] is a work of art formed from or divided into three sections.) three 1200 pixel square images with a colour bias of red green and blue or monochrome, tonally light, tonally dark and tonally light.

Entries can be made any time after Monday the 26th March from www.theimagefile.com until Monday the 6th July at 6pm by uploading your entry as three files (jpgs only at 1200 pixels square please). The competition will be judged during July and the winners announced on Monday the 6th August.

Unlike some other competitions that have caused consternation in the photographic community we are not requiring copyright of the images submitted. All we are asking is that any of the sponsoring organisations are able to use any of the images submitted for promotional use.
