Parents through out the world experience heartache and grief every day due to the death of a baby. This heartache can happen to anyone one of us. Through our experience, being able to introduce this art form of photography to parents suffering this grief will help them in their healing process. We want to bring awareness to parents and caregivers everywhere to this method of healing. We aim to bring parents together with professional photographers that are volunteering their time and services to helping parents create these heirloom memories of their time together as a family. Our goal is to ultimately be able to present Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep to families through out the UK. NILMDTS also aims to educate other photographers to the sensitivity and compassion of this topic.

Although it has been going for a while in the US. Photographers and even hospitals in the UK have not even heard of this.

I have managed to organise a training session with Kirk Kief a NILMDTS Administrator who will be conducting a training session on Thursday 19th July. The location will be the upstairs of The Swan, 66 Bayswater Road, Lancaster Gate, London (this is just a short walk from the Lancaster Gate tube). It will begin at 2PM and we will finish up about 5PM to 5:30PM. There will be no charge for this session. Spaces are limited to 60 people.

The Training session will cover the paper work that is needed to be used during these sessions, some posing, lighting, what to say to the parents, how to approach the hospitals, a little bit of workflow, and hopefully, if time permits, how to build a slideshow.

Please can you ask all those that are interested and those that can plan their schedule to attend, to drop me an email anna@amdphotography.co.uk.
