How to enter this year's competition
Summer's here and once again it's time to dust off your camera and put your skills to the test in our annual photography competition.
Remember we are looking for compelling photos that will grab our attention.
Please interpret the brief as widely as you can - don't just think of the obvious.
We'd like you to send in your photos on the themes listed in the box.
Current assignment
To start with we'd like to see your pictures on the theme of blue.
This and all subsequent themes and their corresponding deadlines are listed in the box to the right.
You may enter up to three images per category.
Voting
Following the closing date for each theme the 12 best pictures will be selected by our picture desk and displayed in a picture gallery a week later. You will then have 48 hours in which to vote for your favourite.
