Radio Trigger for Studio Flash

Just one of the many topics on the SWPP and BPPA Forum 'can anyone recommend a good (i.e. cheap, but reliable) wireless trigger for Elinchrom studio flash? The Elinchrom one costs £50, which seems a bit steep for what it is. I like the look of the Lastolite Lumen8 Radio Trigger that Mark (Cleghorn) has on his site, but I'm not sure if it is compatible with Ellinchrom kit'

The Forum is one of the livelest and most helpfull benefits of membership enjoyed by members.

New photographic competition opens for members

The SWPP & BPPA Forum has just opened a new weekly competition for members, focusing on wedding photography. Every week there will be a type of photo that we submit, for example 'bride and groom by car or bride and groom on steps etc.

This thread will help members look at new ways of doing these particular shots creatively and hopefully if all goes well we can build up a collection of inspiring photos that we can all use for ideas. So, to keep this going as a regular topic, please upload your images every week.

Rules of the competition.

1. Each person can submit upto 2 photos each week.
2. Only posts that include a photo please, although you can add some text if you wish (please don't comment on any other photo, leave it for the vote).
3. Each week the deadline for entries will be Saturday midnight.
4. Voting will start on the Sunday morning for one week.
5. The topic of the next weeks category will be chosen by the previous weeks winner.
6. There are no prizes, no certificates, no money. Just the respect of your peers that you will give you that warm glow!

The topic for the first one (as I used it in the example thought I might use it now) is.

Bride & Groom with Car Shot

Upload 2 of your best! The photo must be taken of the bride and groom outside the car.

We'll leave other variations, such as in the car, for another week.

The competition is an initiative of SWPP & BPPA members

The Forum is a private for SWPP & BPPA members only, if you would like to find out more about the organisation then please follow this link: http://www.swpp.co.uk/join.htm
