Day: Friday 13th Jan 2012
Time: 14.00 to 18.00 - Superclass
Main Speaker Dave Newman in room : Medoc

An all-new look and the classic techniques of masterful posing and lighting for high end portraiture.

"Expect to LEARN" .....four hours with Dave Newman
Attention Class members: Bring your favourite camera with telephoto lens (not Mandatory). Also a good image or two, and a problem print or two.

Those who have seen Dave's dynamic programs and seminars know about his returning to classic-basics as a start and then building into magnificent imagery.

Dave attempts to make the subject the dynamic point of attention and not stealing the emphasis from the subject.

Dave teaches "look at your subject as a blank canvas, then like cutting a gemstone, find the finest facets and strengthen them into something wonderful.

Dave states: "classic art teaches us so much...lets learn from its principle".  He continues "the classic portrait will last beyond most others," .....but by no means does it need to appear stale.

Dave wants his portraiture to hang on the wall not get tucked away in scrapbooks and albums.

The Rule: "Good POSING hangs on one factor.... and that factor is BELIEVABILITY"

Slogan: "Use creative lighting to enhance the pose"

Watchword: "Know the advantages of shooting into the shadows"

Dave creates based on the concept of "the frozen moment" being timeless.

Ticket Price: Members £80 - Non-Members £120
