Having worked regularly together and combining these different approaches they refer to themselves as The Artist and The Engineer
The Artist – Brian Muir runs Air Image Photography, based in Ayrshire, South West Scotland. He is known throughout the UK for his location portrait work, mixing ambient light with artificially created light from battery powered flashes to create stunning images in weddings, fashion & beauty, school proms and more. With experience in Graphic Design and Digital Artistry, Brian also is known for using his skills to create marketing for products, theatre posters and social media.
The Engineer – Mike Weeks runs DorsetPhotoEvent and is based in the South West in Dorset. Mike’s background in communication engineering lead to a different approach to lighting. Much event photography is about honing the skills for repeatability and consistency and this has lead him down the path of understanding the equipment to be better able to cover a wide range of events form Prom to Equestrian and Social to Corporate photography. Mike is also founder of the Event Photographer Society.
