Pat Bloomfield Pat Bloomfield is a semi-professional photographer working towards becoming full time through specializing in; Wedding photography, Fashion, Glamour, Sport, Commercial photos, Press & PR Events I got really serious about photography following a motorcycle racing accident in 2003 when I realised it was too expensive and I was too old to start racing! I started professional photography with a few commercial assignments for a local bridal wear firm. This was in addition to photographing Motorsports. In 2006 I decided try wedding photography and shot my first wedding in February 2007. Training: Intensive one week Advanced Wedding Photography course. Licentiate SWPP. Wedding Photography flow posing by Doug Gordon. Female Portraiture by Mark Laurie. Beauty & Fashion on location course by Jon Gray Foundation Course in Wedding Photography by Peter Ellis FBIPP 3 Day wedding photography & business course Diploma in Photography. Launched Inner Beauty Photography specialising in female portraiture in 2008 and am already helping charities in the UK and abroad. Started entering SWPP monthly competitions in 2008 and have already achieved great success with several Bronze & Silver awards! The wedding photography is expanding to cover boudoir and post wedding photo shoots with “Trash The Dress”, which is already receiving very positive feedback: "We had a fabulous and fun day with Pat. As a person, I am very tenacious always striving for excellence yet am quietly confident and very easy to get on with. I’m happily married with two children and can speak some German. My photographic style: Stylish Contemporary & Traditional for weddings. Fashion & fine art female portraiture. My greatest strengths: Tenacious and photography always evolving towards evocative imagery. I have been in photography: I got seriously involved in photography in 2003 How I got started in photography: I bought a film SLR after having a windfall after several years without a camera, which rekindled my childhood interest. I started developing B&W films and later covered Motorsports. My photographic skills: My key skills now are photographing people whether it be a wedding couple on their wedding day, a model for a fashion shoot or portfolio or a portrait. My personality: I'm very easy going and easy to get on with. I'm also well organized and am a person that can be relied upon. Geographic areas I cover: I cover all East Anglia but would commissions from further a field. Venues I frequently attend: Light and airy locations are best where I'm not restricted from getting all the images my clients desire, however, I also enjoy the challenge of working in small dark venues. I found inspiration from: My wedding photography is inspired by Doug Gordon who has bought the concept of fashion for the modern bride into weddings. As an all round fashion/portrait photographer I'm inspired by David Baily but when it comes to fine art evocative imagery I love the work of Bob Carlos. Success in photography: I've only started entering competitions in 2008 but have already been achieved several silver and bronze awards. Photographic training: Intensive Wedding Photography week long course with Iluminatus The Academy of Photography, Martin Grahame-Dunn FMPA, FRSA, FSWPP, FBPPA, QEP, Hon.FMPA, Photographer and Fine Artist - June 2008. Rock Music especially seeing bands live, enjoy action films, weight training (Qualified Instructor) & last but not least Motorcycling. Major events: I guess motorcycle racing, which I tried in 2003, as it was the bad accident due to racing on a shoe string that brought an end to racing for that season and a return to photography.
