A year or so later I was promoted to studio manager followed by my adventurous departure from the UK to become a ships photographer, initially working on board the SS. Canberra. This work continued for almost 10 years with my position as Ship’s Chief Photographer / Photographic Manager while working for companies such as Seaborne, P&O, Royal Viking Line, Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises and Crystal Cruise Lines to name a few. Aerial photography is my new passion although I still enjoy working with people due to my years aboard ship. Aerial Photography produced using both Helicopters and Planes is my main specialty along with Elevated Photography using a very high, ground-based elevating pneumatic mast. I consider myself to be Friendly and professional, happy to work in any geographical area, covering virtually anywhere in the world if required with most of my work currently being in the UK. I found inspiration from Patrick Litchfield who worked with me for a short time in the late 1980's. His friendly and professional stance on photography has never left me. We will all miss him! Our use of specialist 'Gyroscopic Stabilizers' with all our airborne photography produces clarity and exposures not possible without their use. We use both Nikon and Canon digital SLR equipment along with medium format film cameras such as Pentax 6x7cm, Hassleblad 6x6cm, and Bronica SQA 6x6/6x4.5cm for their very high resolution images. We have an extensive Stock Photography library facility and offer both Medium format and 35mm film scanning, using our Nikon Coolscan professional scanner for any of those keen photographers still using film - Like me!
