My greatest strengths: Friendly and professional. Extremely customer focussed, and will always deliver on time. I have been in photography: Professionally for 8 years, but have been interested in photography for 30 years. How I got started in photography: Whilst attending an equestrian event where my daughter was competing, I was approached by the official photographer and starting freelancing from that point, This has opened many doors for wedding, commercial and portrait shoots. My photographic skills: To be able to communicate at all levels. From working with the owner of a business, to being able to relate to families and children for lifestyle portraits. Experience Equine Photographer. My personality: Positive, competitive. Geographic areas I cover: Based in the heart of the Midlands (Northampton) , but will travel where needed. Venues I frequently attend: I like them all, as each venue will present different challenges. I found inspiration from: From wedding photographers I love Marcus Bell, Yervant, Jerry Ghionis for the sheer glamour. I'm constantly inspired by less well known names, and always trying to develop my own style and not copy others. Success in photography: Widely published within the equestrian world, such as Equestrian Life, Central Horse News, BHS Rider Magazine. Also feature articles within Business Times & Northamptonshire Life. Photographic training: Some studio lighting training with Chris Burfoot. Off camera flash with David Hobby (Strobist) My interests outside photography: I play classical guitar, and like listening to music. Spending time with the family, and finding any excuse to get our there with my camera and 'shoot for me'. Major events: Obviously having children and getting married, I have two daughters (16 & 28). Why I like the SWPP: A great source of information. Future plans: I am keen to increase the wedding bookings, and always keen to learn new techniques and therefore continue to grow in confidence.
