I love to produce high contrast B&W portraits but also enjoy punching that colour through every now and again. My greatest strengths: without doubt my personality (or so I have been told) I can get along with absolutely anyone and make even the most camera shy clients feel at ease within a few minutes. I have been in photography: As a hobbyist I have been taking photographs for 20 years plus. As a semi-pro (just waiting for the day to turn full time pro) for approx 10 months. How I got started in photography: I realised I had the potential when I was asked to do 2 weddings for friends and family as the most dreaded "unofficial photographer" and in both cases my photographs (just using a compact) where preferred to the official photographers efforts. I really felt for them both as their was nothing wrong with the official photos but both couples just preferred mine. My photographic skills: People, people, People!!! I am very patient by nature and always believe that the client is the decision maker as it is their Portrait/Wedding so basically give them what they want no matter how I feel about it, i.e.. not wanting to get outdoor shots because they cannot be bothered, I am screaming in my head trying to coerce them into it, but if they don't want it that's down to them. My personality: Very easy going, but get the job done in a polite assertive manner. I am very patient and never watch the clock. I am customer focused and believe if they get what they want then they will be happy and the referral's should speak for themselves. Geographic areas I cover: North East of England, County Durham Venues I frequently attend: Lumley Castle, Beamish Hall, Ramside Hall. Success in photography: Never been interested in competitions although that may change with the SWPP competitions on offer. Photographic training: NCFE level 2, Several portrait and studio training days, 2 day wedding course Seaham Hall My interests outside photography: Motorbikes & Golf - not at the same time though Tagline: Making Memories Affordable Future plans: My ambitions are to become a full time successful social photographer running my own studio so I can earn a living doing something I love.
