Our style is influenced by trends in fashion and commercial photography. My greatest strengths: Working with people. Great photographs are all about the quality of communication between subject and photographer. When people relax and smile we get great pictures. I have been in photography: I have been photographer for more than ten years, I turned professional and created Shoot Portraits in 2010. How I got started in photography: Having always had a passion for taking photographs it was only a matter of getting the space for a studio that held me back. Running my own training and coaching company gave me the opportunity to convert some office space into a small studio, and the rest as they say is history. My photographic skills: I have a good eye for an image, have an active imagination and can communicate effectively with people of all ages, including furry family members. My personality: Warm, friendly, honest and easily bored. Geographic areas I cover: We cover Newton Aycliffe and the surrounding town and villages in a 20 mile radius. Venues I frequently attend: Apart from shooting in our little studio, which I Love, we are blessed in County Durham with some of the most beautiful natural locations in the country. From pounding waterfalls and swaying cornfields to Norman cathedrals and medieval country manors. We have it all in the Land of the Prince Bishops. I found inspiration from: I am inspired by the fact that as a photographer you have the power to capture a unique moment in time forever. Success in photography: As a new business we have yet to enter any competitions, but we look forward to SWPP competition wins in the future! My interests outside photography: I am an avid reader of 20th century history, enjoy walks in the country, Geocaching (google it, you will be amazed) and classic cars.
