Tom Elsdon photographer in Surrey Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: A mix of conventional & evocative images for your wedding. Albums designed to reflect the happiest day of your life and produced in Italy, the land of style and elegance. My greatest strengths: A fun person who is able to put people at ease and get the best out of them. I have been in photography: About 20 years. How I got started in photography: Started photography whilst being a manager in the communications division of IBM. My photographic skills: To come up with a set of images which reflect the bride & groom's day. Keeping the bride's mother calm and cheering the bride and bridesmaids up to get the best out of them. Understanding peoples tensions and being able to help to put them at ease. My personality: A easy going guy who is able to make people laugh (usually at me) Geographic areas I cover: Surrey mainly but if your are prepared to pay how about Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia and Edmondton in Canada (scared of the grizzly bears though) Venues I frequently attend: All venues have their good and bad points. Its up to me to find the best locations at each venue and then produce the best images possible. I found inspiration from: Gerry Ghonis, Yervant, David Williams (all from Australia). Success in photography: Associate of the SWPP and the BIPP plus being a lecturer of photography at Guildford College some years ago. Photographic training: Mainly attending courses provided by the two societies I am a member of. My interests outside photography: Clay pigeon shooting and golf but both very occasional these days. Testimonials: Too many to list. I fear I am a modest guy and I do not boast. I prefer to give my client’s the best of me. Why I like the SWPP: Providing relevant and useful information to members via the web, its publication and the valuable courses it runs for members.
