My fellow soldiers always thought I was a bit extreme when they saw me jumping out of a plane, happily snapping photo's of them instead of guiding my parachute away from them. After a number of years with the camera in the box, I found the passion of photography again. I found myself always taking photographs of family members and wanted to learn more and take on new aspects of photography. This is when I converted to digital photography. I know use a Canon 20D, which has 8.2 million pixels. I use a number of different lenses, ranging from a wide angled lens to a 28x300 telephoto lens. The later suits most tasks that I encounter. I enjoy experimenting with photography. If I have a camera in my hand I'll try and find an image out of anything. I particularly enjoy taking landscape, sport and nature photographs and am developing my skills at portraiture. I joined Neath Photographic Society during the winter of 2005, after moving to Neath with my family. I wanted to get to know people in the area and pursue my hobby. I have learnt a tremendous amount in such a short space of time and have always found the Club members helpful and keen to pass on any knowledge or advice they may have.
