Type business: Semi Professional Photographer My photographic style: A professional mix of reportage and semi formal photography that captures all the main events of your wedding in a relaxed way overlaid with all those magic moments that make up your special day. My greatest strengths: An artistic eye, technical capability, and a way with people. I have been in photography: Over 30 years. How I got started in photography: My uncle was a keen amateur photographer and that gave me the interest. I then took up a Saturday and holiday job at local studios and never looked back. My photographic skills: The ability to ensure my subjects really enjoy the experience so it becomes a part of the big day. My personality: Professional and calm but with an eye for fun opportunities. Geographic areas I cover: Bristol, Bath, and North Somerset. Venues I frequently attend: All venues have their own special features that I like to draw out. I found inspiration from: Top wedding photographers inspire me. I love studying their best work and working out how they did it so I keep my style fresh and interesting. Success in photography: SWPP Silver Award Photographic training: City and Guilds - Photography, with distinctions in all units. Supplemented by training from the BIPP and Lovegrove Consulting. My interests outside photography: With my wife Rosemary we run a website for all those babies born at Brocket Hall when it was used as a maternity hospital during World War 2. We have been able to reunite many long lost friends and relatives. Major events: Married with two children and now four young grandchildren.
