Jo started her career as a newspaper journalist before realising that her passion was for images rather than words. She has exhibited her work widely and worked extensively on 'social' photography projects in the UK and Portugal, in particular with young people and in a hospital environment. In 2003 she decided to specialised in weddings and lifestyle portraiture, since that time Jo Hansford Photography has grown from strength to strength. Jo lectures and teaches photography as well as running a successful portrait and wedding business, and she also undertakes commercial and PR commissions.
