My greatest strengths: We are easy to talk to and listen to our clients needs to help the wedding day run smoothly. By putting people at ease we can create fantastic relaxed natural shots. I have been in photography: I have been a photographer for over 20 years and a full time Professional for 2 years. Studying at Sheffield University to HND standard with options to take photography to a degree level. Various technical courses attended. How I got started in photography: With a passion for people I used to photograph friends Children, Weddings and Party events, I was then asked to undertake school photographic and sports events , from then on it progressed to friends of friends by word and mouth to paid jobs through out the country, before then deciding to undertake Photography on a professional full time basis. My photographic skills: Dealing with people is a key skill and listening to their individual requests and ideas which I can then translate into stunning images for them. Planning the shoot with them is key to the day running smoothly. Lighting and the control of light a important part of the day. My personality: Friendly, approachable, fun, Professional Geographic areas I cover: Mostly in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire & Lancashire Venues I frequently attend: I have worked at Chatsworth House and Tatton Park which are large country houses and have extensive grounds to take stunning shots in , but any location that can have its own special feel to it after all its the people that create atmosphere I found inspiration from: From a early age David Bailey and the 60s Photographers to Childrens photographers like Annabel Williams, I love out door shoots. Success in photography: I have not entered any competition before but have for pleasure looked back to Art masters for ideas and have recreated images which people have liked and asked to purchase, in addition I was asked to become official sports photographer for a division football club and to include Children in football pictures for promotion and growth. Photographic training: Mostly self taught photography with technical courses and HND in photography undertaken with lots of distinctions for my work. My interests outside photography: Walking, Holidays, Food, cooking, watching sports. Major events: Married Testimonials: Most in card form thanking us for wonderful pictures and help on the day. Why I like the SWPP: SWPP provides some excellent courses for Photographers to attend at all levels so a good place to talk shop as you never stop learning skills.
