Type business: Aspiring Enthusiast My photographic style: 'Style' depends very much upon the subject matter but even then can vary greatly. For instance my wildlife images will, wherever possible, always be a combination of both 'BIG shots' i.e. frame-filling headshots or even part-head shots, and environment shots i.e. Tiger in jungle, Lion on plain and so on. My greatest strengths: In terms of wildlife, the patience and willingness to go and lie in dust / mud etc for hours on end in order to achieve the shot. Other than that perhaps a willingness to listen to other, more experienced, photographers but also be willing to assist with anyone that might know even less than me. I have been in photography: hmmm, when do you officially become a photographer? First 33mm camera 18th birthday present so that's a while How I got started in photography: 'Landscapes' with a friend in order to record for posterity our Sunday morning expeditions to far-flung destinations such as.. Shropshire or Wales. Well, it seemed like a long way at the time. My personality: Very easy-going. Fairly easy to get along with - with the proviso that people get what they see and if they ask an opinion they actually do want a genuine answer rather than a politically correct response. Geographic areas I cover: wherever possible and/or practical My interests outside photography: I have made wedding films for c. 20 years and still find this very satisfying, fraught but satisfying. Major events: Visiting India on a photographic workshop - would have been even better if the Tigers hadn't been so sparse. Similar workshop in Masai Mara - the abundance of wildlife of all varieties was astounding. Future plans: More workshops - China for Panda, Alaska for Salmon run, Churchill for Polar, Borneo for Orangs, and so on Philip is also a member of SINWP Fauna Flora Panorama More Photographers around Worcestershire
