Sarah Knights has an Exhibition here. My studio is in Malmesbury and I specialise in portraits and weddings. I love to go out and about and take pictures on location. People often think my landscapes my paintings. My greatest strengths: My greatest strengths are 'seeing a picture'; attention to detail; friendliness; professionalism and customer service. I have been in photography: Twenty five years How I got started in photography: I was given a good camera as a present and just went on from there. My photographic skills: My attention to detail and customer focus. I have the ability to capture natural images of people that show their personality. My personality: I am a friendly, professional person. I am always on time and am reliable. Geographic areas I cover: Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Venues I frequently attend: Abbey House Gardens, Winkworth Farm, The Old Bell Hotel, Whatley Manor Hotel I found inspiration from: Brilliant photographers of any type, inspire me. Success in photography: I have the licentiateship with the SWPP and have won a Gold Award for Portraiture Photographic training: I have a degree from Birmingham University in English Literature and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education. I also have TEFL qualification (teaching English as a foreign language) and a Business Certificate for teaching English to foreign business people. Photographic training has been with the SWPP and BIPP. My interests outside photography: I am interested in literature and film. I love animals and have a dog and a cat. I walk the dog twice a day and enjoy walking in the countryside. I swim five times a week and when I go on holiday, I always go body surfing. Major events: I have visited Australia twice and absolutely love it. I've been to most of the major cities, surfed on Bondi Beach and at Noosa Heads. I intend to go back in 2012. Why I like the SWPP: When you are working on your own, it is nice to feel part of a community. I like going to the convention to learn and meet new people. She is based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire where she has a large modern studio. She does a lot of portraits there but loves to get out into the country to take environmental portraits. She also does wedding photography and has links with some beautiful local venues. She has travelled a lot and her interest in travel photography really began when she went to live in Cyprus for three years. She now owns a house there and frequently visits the island, both in the Greek and Turkish areas. She has visited Australia several times and has many pictures of Sydney and Brisbane. She has a love of Cornwall, which again she visits regularly, particularly in the Camel Estuary area. Malmesbury itself has become a particular place of interest for her photography and many local people have bought her pictures, cards and calendars of the town and the surrounding area.
