Type business: Aspiring Enthusiast My photographic style: At the moment I am dabbling in all kinds of photography and although I enjoy taking landscape and cityscape shots I feel my future lies within portraiture photography. This is the area I will be taking more seriously in 2010. My greatest strengths: I feel my strengths lie in seeing something unusual, in the usual. Being creative before the shot is taken and seeing mundane, every day sights in a new and unusual point of view. I have been in photography: Photography has been a hobby of mine for around 5 years. How I got started in photography: My background has been in Art and Graphic Design so I felt the progression to digital 'art' was seamless and an enjoyable challenge. My photographic skills: I feel I have great inter-personal skills and I feel I am very approachable. Technically as I have said, I like to think I can see something different in every day occurrences. My personality: Friendly and approachable, dedicated and enthusiastic. Geographic areas I cover: Predominantly London and Cornwall. Venues I frequently attend: Simple, un-cluttered but extremely visual venues. I know that's a bit of a 'catch-all' response, but a photographer should be able to make any location, a desirable venue. I found inspiration from: Jerry Ghionis. His enthusiasm and creative mind is extremely addictive and highly inspiring. Success in photography: I have entered no competitions (something I plan to rectify in 2010) Photographic training: I have had no official 'Photography' training. I am self taught although I do have a degree in Graphic Design and an A-level in Art. My interests outside photography: I enjoy keeping fit (football, the gym, golf) and travel, there are so many wonderful cultures to visit, experience and indeed, photograph. Why I like the SWPP: In brings creative like-minded people together and that can only be good to develop as a photographer. Future plans: I plan to take the dreaded but exciting step into becoming a freelance photographer within the next 2 years.
