The Sports Council for Wales Derek came to the "Young at Heart" over 60's exercise group in Newtown during the Autumn of 2007, to take photos of the members during an exercise session. The group had been awarded a Grant from the Lottery Community Chest fund, and the photos were for a visual record of the kinds of activities pursued by such a group. Being mainly ladies of 60years plus, some were a little anxious at being photographed doing physical exercise, but after the first few minutes, everyone completely forgot there was a photographer present, and the session was relaxed as Derek proceeded to record some quite amazing antics in a very sensitive and unobtrusive way, proving that there is a life after retirement, and our senior citizens have plenty of life in them yet! Our thanks to Derek for some lovely photos, some of which made excellent Christmas presents!"
