I shoot lifestyle, model portfolios and portraits with direct posing but let kids run riot with family shoots! My greatest strengths: My enthusiasm and my love for all things photographic. I have been in photography: without equal photography is fairly new, but I've been on and off since 17 years old. How I got started in photography: While at college, my step dad gave me his old Olympus SLR. I still have it today. I have always loved photography; as a child I would pour over the family photo album, looking at the black and white photos held down by glue and clear plastic sheets. My photographic skills: My communications skills and my use of light in an image. My personality: I'm very friendly, polite and helpful. I'm honest with my opinions and love meeting new people. I'm organised but not to an annoying extent and am always learning new things whether they're new photographic techniques or stuff on QI. Geographic areas I cover: The North West, but I'm willing to travel. Venues I frequently attend: I'll shoot anywhere! An abandoned warehouse, a church hall, in the middle of a snowy park, on a windy beach. I found inspiration from: Lachappelle strangely enough, I love his colourful work and bold statements. Ghionis for his boundless love of the wedding industry and his clients. Lovegrove for his cool use of lighting. Success in photography: I had an exhibition of my work a few years ago. A college qualification in photography. Photographic training: I've trained with Lovegrove, Hanley and Harkness and got some much from each course. My interests outside photography: I help out at my daughter's school. I help raise funds for a few local charities. Major events: Selling my first photo.
