Darren Perry has an Exhibition here. Darren Perry of Addison McGrath Photography graduated with a BA Honours from the University of Kent in 1995.He is also an Associate member with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, Royal Photographic Society and British Professional Photographers Association. Having graduated in Film, Television and Photography Darren has always been behind the lens either photographing friends and family weddings, portraits and portfolios or filming and videoing short films and commercial documentaries. After graduating Darren ideally wanted to pursue a career in photography or cinematography but with student debts and a desire to earn money quickly, this was not suited to the jobs available ‘running and fetching’ for six grand a year in the media world! Instead Darren worked his way up to a high level in the corporate sector and developed business dealing with CEO’s and Partners of blue chip firms across the world as a headhunter. During this time Darren was always taking photos and working on private commissions including photographing weddings, creating model portfolios and children and family portraits. Darren was even responsible for filming and directing a short corporate film for one his clients. After the year 2000 Darren was jointly running his own company already and felt he had sufficient courage to step out of the corporate world to concentrate on doing what he loves – taking pictures. It has been an amazing adventure and with becoming a father during this time Darren’s priorities and focus is now definitely not on business lunches and project deadlines but on delivering beautiful, creative and emotive images. There is nothing more satisfying than photographing a couples wedding and then seeing them in a couple of years to take some portraits of them with a new born baby. Darren works throughout Suffolk and North Essex for weddings and has photographed weddings at the most prestigious locations and the most remote. This does not mean he won’t consider weddings further a field, having photographed weddings in Sri Lanka, Australia and nearer to home in Kent and London. Darren will also travel to your home or on location for portrait and portfolio work and has the latest in mobile studio and flash lighting, transforming your home or favourite place into his studio.
