Interest in photography had its inception in his infancy. As a child it was his fantasy that later shaped itself into a personal etiquette with all possible efficacy in the art of taking photographs. The urge has been kept alive till date. His amateurish stint in photography metamorphosed into a serious professionalism from 1984 onwards. Nature has become Reddy's teacher. His interest in making portfolio series on the indigenous tribes and pastoral life received a great fillip very soon. As a student of social work his field study during 1992 took him into the world of tribalism of Andhra Pradesh. The academic mandate juxtaposed with his ability in the art of taking photographs came very handy during period. In the process, the tribal etiquette, the lifestyles, the pure pastoral characteristics, the extant tribal customs, the unique behavioural patterns, the gait and body language, the colourful attires and the exclusive tribal domesticities attracted the eye of his professional imagination. Very soon he developed a feminine partiality for tribal society. The natural combination of colours is often a photographer's delight. Like a poet, Mr. Reddy's imaginative eye, in a fine frenzy rolling tried its best to give a shape and form to the minutest details of tribal emotions and natural habitats through the lens. Monochrome, slides and colour photographs are part of the tribal portfolio with the photographer. Lambadas in Andhra Pradesh (also known as Banjaras) and Bondos in Orissa have attracted his attention and he captured almost every important aspect of daily life of these tribes in the last one decade. Of these two tribes Bondos are known for their very primitive lifestyles and offensive attitudes towards any external intervention. Honours, awards and laurels come rolling Mr. Reddy's way. Among others the Associateship of ICS (Image Colleague Society) USA, RPS (Royal Photographic Society) UK, PSS (Photography Society of Singapore) IIPC (India International Photographic Council), BPPA(British institute of professional photography-UK) and Fellowship from the Federation of Indian Photography(FIP) are the epitomes for his dedication and excellence in the field. He regularly participates in the competitions conducted by PSA, RPS, IIPC,PSS,BPPA, and FIP. Often times his presentations to these prestigious competitions won him universal recognition as well as prizes. His name has been figuring in the top ten list of IIPC over the last few years. In addition he regularly delivers lectures on photography for students of photojournalism. He is a known speaker on the topic of photography from the All India Radio, Vijayawada. The innumerable other awards need a separate brochure to mention. He is a member of many national and international photographic associations today. Being a photojournalist Mr. Reddy contributes regularly to various journals and periodicals in and out of India today. His photographs found place in the prestigious international journals like 'National Geography'. Around 938 photographs of Mr. Reddy have been selected by various national and international photography salons. Today Mr. Reddy is a much sought after photographer in commercial, industrial and fashion photography. But he devotes most of his time to innovative and original photography sessions outside the structured locales. His photography is also sensitive to social themes. He has been instrumental in restoring and reprinting rare photographs of two major social reform movements in post-independent India-criminal reform and Jogini reform movements undertaken by Samskar, a reputed voluntary agency in Andhra Pradesh. He is working on other development projects in the country today. T S Reddy dotes on lens. He feeds on his innate art. Never he rests on laurels. The unflagging zeal keeps him alive. His tryst with camera is a continuing saga. For him the rest is photography.
