Kim Rix has an Exhibition here. Describe your photography style? Wedding and Portrait Photography, Special Event Photography and Boudoir Photography. What are your greatest strengths? I’m very focussed on giving the client an exceptional experience, making sure that they get what they want out of their photography. At weddings & events, I am good at anticipating and capturing the moments. How long have you been a photographer? As a hobby, over 20 years. 6 months as a professional. How did you get started? Originally as a hobby. Professionally, being 2nd shooter at weddings. Your key skills and abilities? With a background of wedding planning, I am good at building rapport with the Bride & Groom and listening to what they want. Describe your personality – friendly, outgoing, positive, diligent, trusting and sincere. What geographic areas do you cover? Anywhere asked. Mainly London, Essex, South East. What particular venues do you like? Addington Palace Royal Marquee, Spains Hall, Leez Priory, Osterley Park, Who or what inspires you? I was inspired learning from Doug Gordon, Joe Photo and John Denton at the SWPP conference. What success have you had in photography (competitions - qualifications)? None as yet. Photographic training and education - I trained with Catherine Connor of Aspire in February 2011. I attended 7 days of SWPP in January 2011. Your interests other than photography? Good food & wine, gemmology, holidays in exotic places. Other major events in your life? 5th Year Wedding Anniversary on 28 July, 2011. Customer testimonials - Kim had a natural eye for capturing those perfect moments that made up the very best memories of our wedding day! The photography was exactly what we had asked for, with lots of lovely natural shots! She even managed to contain her laughter and snap the moment my 18 month old son decided to give me a wiggly worm! Her happy personality made us, and all the guests, feel at ease which I think was key to end results. I would have no hesitation in recommending her. Becky Hood What do you like about the SWPP? Opportunities to learn from other professionals. If you had a tagline, what would it be? My tag line is “Photography from the heart”. What are your future plans – I plan to start entering photographic competitions. It is my goal to be featured on the Queensberry web site.
