Before taking up his camera, he studied technique, lighting and composition, and upon his return brought home some stunning images. In 1990 Jonathan was the prize-winner of the coveted Practical Photography “Photogirl Competition” with his portfolio of an amateur model. Shortly afterwards, he began working professionally, producing a brochure for a clothing manufacturer and then his first professional wedding album. Jonathan believes that the best photographs of people are created when they are happy and relaxed, and therefore he aims to take the time to build a rapport with clients allowing them to relax and enjoy the photography, whether it be a wedding or a portraiture session. At weddings, he works quickly with a relaxed approach allowing the bride and groom plenty of time to mingle with guests and to celebrate their Special Day. The aim is to capture both the emotion and the details of your day, in a way that will bring a smile to your face when, in future, the pictures stir those special memories. Based in the Cheshire area within easy access of the national motorway network, Jonathan and his wife, Dianne work primarily in Cheshire and Manchester but are happy to travel.
