Bob Simpson photographer in Inverness-shire

Type business: Full Time Professional

My photographic style: Traditional Wedding Photographer with a bit of artistic flair.

My greatest strengths: Enthusiasm and determination to get it right for the client.

Patience with people, old, young, babies, grooms, brides and everyone else.

Attention to Detail

I have been in photography: Part time since 1962 and Full time since 1982.

How I got started in photography: Sold my fist piece of art (a line drawing) in 1962. Sold my first photograph (a landscape) in 1962. Been selling painted landscapes, graphic art work, design for print, drawings and photographs; of buildings passports (and recently international passports), weddings, portraits (off and on full and part time) ever since. Now just take photographs full time.

My photographic skills: Traditional posed photographs. Expert post photographic skills. For six years have been using digital. Taking good wedding photographs at a reasonable price.

My personality: Enthusiastic and Jovial.
I always offer a fast delivery.

Geographic areas I cover: North of Scotland, but have worked throughout Scotland, from Mull to Caithness.

Venues I frequently attend: Outdoors

I found inspiration from: My clients give me the incentive to excel. I need my clients to get the rapport that gets me going and concentrating on the work to produce that stylish image I am striving for.

Success in photography: I am successful and receive constant requests for reprints and lots of customers use me again and again.

Photographic training: For three years trained by Clem Evert of Sachi and Sachi in the finer parts of Photoshop and other software. Learned medium format and SLR photography. including oblique aerial) He also used large format which I never learned. I watched him taking fashion shots but never pursued this myself, but I have studied posing techniques.

My interests outside photography: Not many. Looking forward to retiring in ten years (if I last that long)

Major events: Annie and I were married in 1967. As well as daughters and a son we have until 2009 had six grandsons. Now we also have a new grand daughter.

Testimonials: Don't ask for testimonials.
Why I like the SWPP: the name

Future plans: I am working on a photographic book and am compiling new images of the many towns and villages I visit in the North of Scotland.

And finally: I am old (but act young) but still enjoy my work. Do not know if I want all the above made public - what do you think?
