My greatest strengths: Creating a balanced composition which I find pleasing. I have been in photography: I've always had a camera since about 11 years of age but have only in the last 3 years owned a digital SLR and gradually become increasingly interested in the potential of this form of photography. How I got started in photography: I have always enjoyed creating memories through photos. However I have mainly been influenced and encouraged by a photographer friend in the past few years. My photographic skills: To look for the interesting and dramatic and to learn from others. To take the time to read information to learn more about my camera and photography. My personality: Quiet, unassuming, sociable, good sense of humour, independent. Geographic areas I cover: Europe, Morocco, but have plans to travel further afield in the near future - South America. I found inspiration from: Learning from good photographer friends. The countryside. Photographic training: Self taught and holidays with photographer friends. Travelled to Morocco for 2 weeks, September 2009, on a small group photography tour with the professional photographer Steve Davey. My interests outside photography: Walking, travel, gardening, cooking, music. Major events: Life is a major event made up of a myriad of significant minor events. Why I like the SWPP: That it allows the opportunity to learn, develop skills and achieve and will hopefully provide support for me as an aspiring photographer. Tagline: A photo is a small piece of a jigsaw which records a moment in life. Future plans: Initially to continue furthering my skills and work towards achieving my licentiate hopefully.
