Alan West has an Exhibition here. Type business: Aspiring Enthusiast My photographic style: Funky modern portraits. I have been in photography: 5 years How I got started in photography: I started taking snaps when I was on holiday but soon got hooked. I have done a lot of wildlife photography and have recently moved to portraits. My personality: I am enthusiastic outgoing person. Geographic areas I cover: London, Bucks and Middlesex Venues I frequently attend: I like working with available light and so anywhere outdoors that has atmosphere. I found inspiration from: I had the pleasure of attending a workshop held by Damien McGillicuddy, his approach and the images he produces inspires me to do the same. I have also spent some time researching Joe McNally in would like to be able to manipulate the light the way he does. My interests outside photography...: I enjoy walking, Travelling and played Rugby up until a few years ago when I was forced to retire due to injury. Major events: I was in the Royal Air Force for 15 years before leaving to take up a career in IT. Why I like the SWPP: I became aware of the SWPP from attending the convention this year and have been welcomed by all. I like the fact that you can easily discuss questions or thoughts with people who will give you a straight answer and helpful advice willingly. Future plans: I plan to improve my photography and hopefully his year have something published.
