When he started, photographs tended to be virtually all formal, but over recent years people have come to want a more contemporary style - 'reportage' or 'photo-journalism' - available from a more modern, relaxed approach combined with new technology - cameras, lighting, print production and albums - and he has developed a style that balances the traditional and the contemporary, flexible enough to suit the individual wishes of each client.
