I love to photograph people and it seems natural for me to make people feel comfortable during a photo shoot. Often by the end of the shoot we will feel like friends. I have many returning clients who come back because they enjoyed past photo sessions, love the results and are so comfortable being photographed. By making my clients feel relaxed and at ease, I am able to capture them beautifully in their photos. I like to think of myself as a story teller … every image has something to say and to me this is part of the art. You want the viewer to be drawn into the image and to imagine, wonder … think about the story that is there. When I photograph weddings and other special events I specialize in taking photos that will tell a story. This results in really memorable images for my clients. Not only do they get fantastic images to frame and display, but I also offer to tell their story by creating a DVD slide show using the photos from the event. My clients love this service because it is a great way to share the photos with others and re-live the occasion. I often work with my husband, Dave, who is also a brilliant photographer, we are a great team and have photographed together for so long we always know what the other is thinking! I will look across a crowded room and know that he got the shot from another angle. He is also a great technical guy … which is perfect for me as an artist. I have perfected my lighting technique to a point where I am quite portable and still get a great “studio” effect … or let’s go to a beautiful outdoor venue. I am always open to new places to shoot!
