SWPP & BPPA NEWSLETTER for August 2nd 2006
Another record month for SWPP and BPPA web site:
360 000 page vies with 45 000 unique visitors is not bad
going for July, traditionally a quite month! Many
visitors are consumers looking for professional photographers and now with
4000+ around the word there is plenty for them to find.
However we can get even more consumers though we need YOUR HELP....
We are in the process of creating a massive directory of wedding venues. The reason being that the first thought when a bride is getting married is which venue to choose.
Using our sophisticated page generating software we can generate the 'venue directory' and thereafter lead wedding couples directly to our members pages, which will help create more bookings for your business.
We have created a form for you to give us recommendations of venues, in return we will credit you with the recommendation on the venue page. A search facility is built into the page so the prospective client can then easily navigate to your page on our site.
As you can image it is therefore essential that we have ALL of the correct information on your page so it is well worth double checking and letting us know of any amendments.
The directory can be found by: clicking here
The form for submitting your recommendations can be found by: clicking here
You can submit as many recommendations as you wish and they can be from anywhere in the world, as this is a global directory. Please give us as much information as you possibly can, the more details regarding each venue will increase it's relevance on the web.
This is a massive opportunity to generate a vast amount of business for all our members so we would appreciate the support of everyone.

Huge Response in Convention Bookings
Convention bookings for January have soared in the last couple of weeks, both for attendees and exhibitors, many of the 3400+ who came along to Coventry this year realise that it is essential to book early in order to reserve rooms at the venue itself
Further convention details have been included on our web site, Which include:
Print Competition.
Entries are now invited for August, with July's judging taking place in the next few days..
You can upload your files directly to our server, though please remember to put your name, the category and the month on the jpeg that you are uploading, otherwise they will not be authorized.
Reminder from last month:
Over the last couple of weeks we have had one or two emails regarding images which have not been loaded onto our server. The simple answer is that just a few of our members are still attempting to upload files without THEIR name on the files. Last month four members of staff spent three days trying to cross reference erroneous file names with the server database to find out who the images belonged to.
File names such as 'mono', 'DSC1234' 'wedding' mean nothing at all to us and the additional danger is when we upload from the server then files with identical names will overwrite other submissions. So please put your name on the files that you upload.
Example Left: Shows exactly how files should be named before uploading.
Remember only a few days to go until the end of another month, so get your entries in as soon as possible.
