[Photokina, 26 September 2006]   Kingston Technology, today announced the launch of its DataTraveler Mini Fun USB Flash Drive.  The drive is the latest addition to Kingston Technology’s family of DataTraveler USB drives, which boast the smallest storage gadgets currently available in the industry – providing the ‘ultimate’ device for managing data whilst on the move.

The DataTraveler Mini Fun drive measures just 1.5 by .75 inches - approximately the length and width of two postage stamps laid end-to-end.  The Mini Fun is available in a variety of colours and in a range of capacities up to 1GB.

“The growing popularity of USB Flash drives has made them a ‘must have’ item amongst students and business professionals alike,” said Jim Selby, Product Marketing Manager EMEA, Kingston Technology.  Selby continues, “Now users can attach the Kingston Technology DataTraveler Mini Fun to a keyring or mobile phone and have it available at any time to store and retrieve documents, photos, music, school assignments, reports or any other work in progre

Kingston Technology’s DataTraveler Mini Fun comes preloaded with Atlantis and Magic Vines gaming software by Big Fish Games.  In Atlantis, gamers are taken on a trip to the 19th Century, as they head up of a team of explorers on a classified mission to unlock the secrets of the long-lost city of Atlantis.  The action takes place over 81 challenging levels.  The puzzle game, Magic Vines, invites users to travel the jungles and plains of the world, exploring each location by solving a series of increasingly difficult puzzle board challenges.

The Atlantis and Magic Vines games are available in seven languages — English, French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.  Each Mini Fun flash drive includes a “Quick Start Guide” that instructs the user on how to install and launch the games on their computer.

Greg Enell, Vice President, Business Development, Big Fish Games comments, “We are delighted Kingston Technology have chosen to include Atlantis and Magic Vines software on the new Mini Fun USB drives.  The drives enhance the gaming experience by enabling players to travel with their games and access them from virtually any computer, anywhere.”

System requirements for Atlantis include a Pentium II 400 MHz or faster processor, 128 MB of RAM and a video card capable of 800x600 3D acceleration.  Magic Vines requires a Microsoft Windows 98 or higher operating system, Pentium II 400 MHz or faster processor and 64 MB of RAM.

The new Kingston Technology DataTraveler Mini Fun is available through retailers at www.kingston.com/uk and is backed by a five-year warranty, plus Kingston Technology’s legendary reputation for high quality products and unrivalled customer service.
