A new must-have service for digital photographers and their families is to be
launched in the UK by Europe’s leading photographic services provider.
Photobook – the modern no-fuss replacement for the traditional family photo
album – will be unveiled by CeWe Color at the Focus on Imaging show at
Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
Already Europe’s market leader, My CeWe Photobook allows photographers to easily
design and create a digital album – for a special occasion or for everyday
family pictures – from the comfort of their own home.
Photographers simply transfer their digital photos on to their PC and with the
help of CeWe’s software, downloadable free from their web site, decide on a
cover, how many pages they want and a lay-out.
Within seconds the program will suggest a completed album which users can accept
or adapt, adding captions and different backgrounds if they want.
The user then uploads the finished album to CeWe for production and the
customer’s Photobook will be delivered to their home within days.
An automatic order assistant will even detect photos which are out of focus,
over or under-exposed and duplicate images.
Prices start from as little as £5.99 for a photo booklet. A large soft-cover
26-page Photobook costs £15.99 and a linen or hard-cover version £19.99.
The big advantage of the My CeWe Photobook over other products on the market is
that allows users to be far more creative with lay-outs, templates and
backgrounds.
The service will be operated by Standard Photographic of Leamington, acquired by
CeWe Color in 2005 as its first UK plant.
National sales manager Bryan Gale said: “The laborious task of sticking photos
in an album is now a thing of the past. A personal book of pictures can be
individually designed on a PC in minutes and no previous experience is
necessary.
“They make fantastic gifts for special occasions or are the ideal way of storing
all the family pictures like a traditional album.”
