These simple adjustments allows users to breathe life into images that would otherwise look flat and hazy. In addition, Colormancer uses color science principles to avoid unnecessary color shifts.

Advanced color science
The filter is designed to sacrifice speed in order to avoid shortcuts in processing color. It uses linear light processing to ensure constant luminance when changing saturation. This ensures minimal image noise as it avoids saturation adjustments from bleeding into the luminance channel. Colormancer also minimizes hue and saturation shifts by keeping a constant R:G:B ratio while affecting contrast and brightness. This allows artists to push their images further without having to worry about their tools' limitations.

32-bit floating point precision
The plugin supports 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit image modes for both RGB and grayscale images. Colormancer performs all intermediate calculations in 32-bit floating point precision to minimize rounding error and to avoid banding artifacts.

Smart Filter enabled
Colormancer is compatible with Adobe Photoshop's Smart Filter feature to enable convenient non-destructive tweaking of filter parameters.
