The world's smallest 18x zoom camera is launched by Fujifilm

Fujifilm is proud to announce the arrival of the FinePix S2800HD: with a generous 18x Fujinon optical zoom lens and a small lightweight body, this camera really packs a punch. Especially when matched with its 14 megapixel sensor, and well balanced feature-set including 720p HD movie and Full 1080p HD still image capture.

This is the latest addition to Fujifilm's S-Series range of cameras, widely respected by those looking for extra-long zoom capabilities, combined with the ease-of-use of a compact camera. Delivering top image quality consistently, whilst combining the very best Fujinon lenses with Fujifilm's proprietary image processing, you can shoot with confidence every time.

Powerful Fujinon *18x zoom
The S2800HD sports an impressive 28mm - 504mm* high precision Fujinon optical zoom lens. This range allows you to capture the action, even when you're at a considerable distance away; from the most cinematic of landscapes to the wildest of wildlife - the FinePix S2800HD has the ability to take it all in its stride.

Motion Panorama
Fujifilm's new Panoramic shooting mode that features on the S2800HD cleverly eliminates the risk of uneven landscapes or shaky horizons. Simply select Panorama mode and start shooting then, align the + symbol into the circle and the shutter will automatically release to seamlessly stitch the shots together in-camera. The result? Effortless and stunning panoramic shots just desperate for framing and hanging on your lounge wall!

Sharp, clear shots
Even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging of lighting conditions, the S2800HD is able to produce crisp, clean results. With its mechanically stabilised 1/2 3", 14 megapixel CCD sensor, and high ISO sensitivity settings, Fujifilm's Dual Image Stabilisation technology combines to reduce the blurring effects of both hand-shake and subject movement to provide superb pictures.
Advanced HD capabilities for Both Movies and Stills

For the complete viewing experience, the FinePix S2800HD is HD enabled and can therefore play-back both stills (1080p) and movies (720p) in superb HD quality. Images appear crisp and even more true to life, a perfect way to share memories - and show off a little! Additionally, the FinePix S2800HD features a mini HDMI port so it's quick and easy to connect to a HD ready TV via a mini HDMI cable (not included).

Pristine Portraits
Beauty shouldn't just be in the eye of the beholder. Fujifilm has added two fun and valuable features to its Face Detection system: Smile and Shoot mode is able to recognise the exact moment your subject smiles and releases the shutter only when this happens, ensuring that all your photos are happy ones. Blink Detection warns you if any of your subjects have blinked so that you can re-take the photo if necessary.
Rate your favourite pictures!

New to Fuji's 2010 range of cameras is the ability to grade your images using a star rating system to manage your pictures. Save time by searching by selected rate and view only your favourite pics!

Photobook Assist
Select the images you want to feature in your Photobook in-camera; even easier if you search by your top star rated images! This will save time at a kiosk or computer downloading and organising which pictures to include in your Photobook. Alternatively simply enjoy viewing the selected images in an on-camera Photobook,

Photo Quote: I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light. - Galen Rowell

There are 227 days to get ready for the SWPP Convention and Trade Show at The Hilton London Metropole Hotel ...
