Hahnemuhle To Announce Four New Products Available in 60” at WPPI 2008
Hahnemuhle USA, North American distributors of high-quality digital art media
from Hahnemuhle FineArt GmbH, will announce four new media products at WPPI. All
four new products will be on display at the Hahnemuhle booth 217 at the Paris
hotel in Las Vegas, NV from March 17-19th 2008.
Designed for creative digital artists, these new products are intended to meet
the growing requirements of the high-end digital artists and photographers. The
following four products are new to the Digital Fine Art Collection and all will
soon be available in 60” - Photo Rag® Ultra Smooth, Photo Rag® Baryta, Daguerre
Canvas and Monet Canvas.
Photo Rag® Ultra Smooth 305gsm has a very smooth surface texture with a slightly
higher white- point than Photo Rag® 308. It has an exceptional ink limit,
resulting in impressive high saturation and Dmax.
Photo Rag® Baryta 315gsm is a 100% rag, OBA-free, natural- white paper with a
barium sulfate finish. The coating gives the rag base a high-gloss finish, which
enhances luminosity and color fidelity.
Daguerre Canvas 400gsm is a specially coated artist canvas made of poly-cotton
with a tactile surface texture which makes it perfect for fine art photo
printing. Its bright-white color provides clear, fresh color and contrasts for
black and white reproductions.
Monet Canvas 410gsm is a genuine artist canvas made of 100% cotton with a
special coating that is ideal for fine art printing. Its white-point is perfect
for art reproduction, but also works well for high quality photo printing. This
canvas offers detailed color and grey tones, as well as optimal depth to your
artwork.
“We are pleased to present these new products to the digital printing
community,” said Martin Kerver, President of Hahnemuhle USA. “We understand the
complex and ever- expanding needs of our customers and are committed to meeting
the quality standards that have made us the preferred choice for fine art
printing. Hahnemuhle has a long history with traditional artists and a close
relationship with inkjet manufacturers that have allowed us to develop a series
of digital inkjet papers, specifically engineered and coated for modern inkjet
printing.”
Hahnemuhle will be selling sample rolls of the two new Canvas products at the
WPPI show for $5 each. The Daguerre and Monet Canvas sample rolls are 17” wide
and 5’ long.
The Hahnemühle paper mill has been producing quality artist’s papers for over
420 years. Since its founding in 1584 they have developed experience and a
tradition of excellence in art materials that is now been brought to the digital
age, and fine art Inkjet printing. The German based company whose headquarters
are in Dassel, has 150 employees worldwide.
The SWPP 2008 Convention was an outstanding success,
we have 191 days to get ready for the 2009 convention - which starts on January 14, 2009
