Hireacamera range continues to expand to members needs

Hireacamera was established in 2002 and has gone on to become one of the largest suppliers of digital cameras and video cameras for hire in the UK.

Its growth has been phenomenal and the company has come a long way since the purchase of their first camera.

‘Our core values remain the same though and are without doubt responsible for the continuing growth’, explained Managing Director Guy Thatcher. ‘We value our customers and always work hard to provide them with everything they need and more. We do not guarantee to always be the cheapest but we do guarantee to provide the best service and equipment we can. Most of our new clients come from word of mouth recommendations so we must be doing something right!’

For 2008, Hireacamera has expanded its Digital Camera range with a full selection of professional cameras, lenses and accessories.

‘We have been hiring out low to medium level SLR cameras and lenses for a while now’, commented Thatcher.

‘A great deal of our decisions are based on customer feedback. We had numerous requests last year to start stocking more professional camera equipment but we wanted to make sure we could fully support and service it before launching.’

Hireacamera stock 15 different SLR models from Nikon, Canon or Fuji, ranging from entry level models such as the Canon 400D up to Canon’s new 1Ds MkIII and Nikon’s D3. Lenses available to hire include recently launched models from Canon, Nikon and Sigma.

‘We have included many of the new Nikkor and Canon EF lenses to allow our customers to get the most out of the new SLR cameras. Our range will expand as we learn what our customers want, my basic rule being if there is enough demand, we will stock it.’

Hireacamera has also been chosen as Sigma’s official hire partner, allowing customers to try lenses before purchasing.

‘We were delighted to team up with Sigma – their products offer excellent value for money and their service backup is second to none.’

Based in East Sussex, Hireacamera can deliver next day Nationwide and in most cases same day to Central London or the South East.
