Imagetogo.net tell us they are the only online preview ordering website they
know that actively encourages you to join over and over again. Opening multiple
accounts can have many advantages and once the accounts are formatted, gives you
great flexibility when addressing your customers’ needs. The first and obvious
question is “why bother” when I have an account already opened and can create as
many websites as I like on that account. One account does work for most. However
an increasing number of users are finding that they do not necessarily want the
same information (that they have input when creating the account) to be attached
to every website they want to send out.
The obvious one is prices of images or products. The price you charge for a
service usually reflects the effort or cost to produce it. It could be that a
wedding shoot takes longer than a portrait. A sport event may require more
equipment and a number or staff to cover properly. These and other factors we
many want to reflect in our unit costs. Imagetogo.net addresses this problem by
allowing you to open as many accounts that you want to format. In this way you
can vary your unit costs by simply setting up different values that reflect the
cost of your service for different activities. Then title each account
appropriately so that you know what account you are using for what group of
customers. It is best not rely on your memory. Other settings you may want to
alter are what Imagetogo.net calls the ‘On-Off Options’. They are all to do with
functionality. Enabling things like copyright text (you may have sold the
copyright and therefore do not need to protect the images) or discounts (you may
want to give one customer a discount and not another), thankfully all these
‘On-Off Options’ can be set as ‘Default’ for that account. So you only have to
do it once. The other settings are also equally flexible shown under ‘Edit
Website’. All these setting affect what the site looks like or sounds like.
You can alter the visual appearance of the website by uploading your own
template. You may want a different feel for a product only website to a portrait
shoot. It is true that you can do all this with just one account. Altering the
setting per website that you create takes time. The more effectively we work and
use our time available will mean we profit in some way over our competitors.
Setting up multiple accounts formatted to suit a particular customer group may
not “Stop the Clock” but it will save you precious minutes when you come to
upload your images later that evening. If your customers do not appreciate your
speedy response, your family will!
