Benro announces ‘dramatic increase’ to range

10/03/11

Kenro, the official UK and Ireland distributor for the acclaimed Benro range of tripods, has announced a whole raft of new additions to the range.

The new lines include the Flat Traveller range, additions to the popular Travel Angel series, Gimbal heads, new monopods plus more choice in its range of accessories and heads.

The Flat Traveller tripods, available in 3 models in both aluminium and carbon fibre, feature a unique design that changes the traditional tripod model of triangular profiles and adopts instead a flat unified connecting hub, which contributes to its compact size and ultra-portability when folded. The Flat Traveller tripods have been created specifically for photographers who demand high performance and compact size from their equipment.

Tripods in the Flat Traveller series incorporate a dust and water-resistant leg-locking system based on Benro technology. They also feature a centre column which adds up to 30cm of extra extension and adjustment. They are one of the lightest, shortest, most stable, strongest, and fastest operating tripods in their class.

The new Transfunctional Travel Angel is a really versatile piece of kit. It features all the same great features of the standard Travel Angel, plus the ability to convert from a full size tripod into a compact monopod quickly and easily.

Benro’s Gimbal heads are made of high quality aluminium and are the perfect accessory for nature photographers. They are easy to grip and allow the user to rotate the lens around its centre of gravity enabling easy manipulation of very large lenses up to 600mm.

The Benro monopod is a popular choice for photographers who need the lightest weight support, have a limited shooting space or photograph events that are constantly on the move. Now featuring a ‘Pod foot’, Benro monopods are more stable than ever. Available with a choice of the new Benro QLS twist style leg lock system or flip lever leg lock design, all Benro monopods include matching foam grip, and a head plate with reversible 1/4 or 3/8 camera screws.

Two new kits are also available, the Aluminium Universal Flip Lock Tripod with 3 Way Pan and Tilt Head and the Aluminium Universal Flip Lock Tripod with BH Head.

“We launched the Benro range into the UK in May 2010 and since then they have proved to be a huge hit with both professionals and keen enthusiasts,” says Kenro Managing Director, Paul Kench. “All Benro products combine high quality, precision engineering with a competitive price-point that makes them much more affordable than some other, more well-known brands. This dramatic increase in Benro’s range now makes them even more attractive to photographers.”

To view Kenro's full range, or for details of your nearest stockist please visit www.kenro.co.uk - alternatively call Kenro's head office on 01793 615836 for further information.

All products are displayed in Kenro's showroom at the company's Swindon Head Office, trade customers are welcome to make an appointment to visit.

Photo Quote: Very often people looking at my pictures say, 'You must have had to wait a long time to get that cloud just right (or that shadow, or the light).' As a matter of fact, I almost never wait, that is, unless I can see that the thing will be right in a few minutes. But if I must wait an hour for the shadow to move, or the light to change, or the cow to graze in the other direction, then I put up my camera and go on, knowing that I am likely to find three subjects just as good in the same hour. - Edward Weston
