Full high definition on television at home? A failure, by and large, as TV transmitters broadcast scarcely any films in this quality. Those who want to enjoy viewing the true resolution potential of his HD-capable television must turn to their cameras – which means Rollei’s new Movieline SD-10 camcorder.

This top-of-the-range model from the Movieline series incorporates all the features that video producers need in order to create magnificent pictures.

Boasting a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 30 frames per second, it produces a genuine cinema feeling, without flickering and without jerkiness. This is due to the interaction of high-tech components that have been optimally attuned to one another and which include a 10 megapixel CMOS image sensor, Rollei’s own precision lens with a 10x optical zoom and the high-speed Ambarella processor.

The high-contrast 3-inch colour monitor of the Movieline SD-10 permits comfortable previewing and composition of the takes in line with the screen-play. For the ‘final inspection’, the camcorder sends its image data by means of digital data transmission via HDMI interface without losses and directly to either a monitor or TV set.

The SD-10 also delivers stills directly from the scenes filmed. Thanks to a resolution of up to 10 megapixels, the large focal length range from panoramic wide-angle to telescopic, the macro function for distances of only
1 cm, this video camcorder delivers full photo quality.

The 256 MB internal memory and the expansion options with high-capacity SDHC cards capable of holding up to 32 GB provide ample scope for movies providing an entire evening’s viewing. And the low RRP of 249.95 Euros for the Movieline SD-10 guarantees that the production budget is not overshot.

Movieline SD-5Telling exciting stories with moving pictures – this is something the Movieline SD-5 is perfectly cut out for. Housed inside a pleasant to hold designer body, sophisticated technology gets to work at satisfying even the most discerning of amateur film makers. Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, plus a CMOS sensor for a particularly high light yield combine to guarantee impressive picture quality not just for videos, but also for individual photos. The high-quality Rollei lens with 5x optical zoom for creative film-making and ‘Motion Detection’ for optimised filming of sports scenes and other motion shots convert the cameraman’s ideas into impressive, high-resolution pictures.

Thanks to the HDMI connection and the supplied HDMI cable, the pictures can be transferred effortlessly and without loss in digital form to TV sets and monitors, where they can be reproduced in their full high resolution. Thanks to the ample memory capacity of the SecureDigital and SDHC cards that can hold up to 32 GB, the light-weight SD-5 (339 g without batteries) offers mega-high endurance performance at a relatively small price – RRP 199.95 Euros.

Movieline P5Ultra-compact, ergonomic design and maximum grip – these are all features a Web-2.0 film-maker would like his camera to have – just as in Rollei’s Movieline P5. It links the filmer directly to the audience. For online export, a special “YouTube Direct” function for rapid posting to the Internet has been integrated. The video sequences are stored in the specific online format. In addition to public viewing on video portals, this camcorder is also equipped for exclusive private showings. The HDMI interface connects either to the PC or TV set.

Provided that the particular monitor quality permits it, this enables the full HD resolution of the P5 (1920 x 1080 pixels) to produce its fascinating effect. A powerful 5 megapixel CMOS sensor goes ensures razor-sharp photos.
Using the Movieline P5, enables ambitious young film makers to ‘shoot’ from every position, whilst keeping the image sequences in view at all times thanks to the 3-inch display that can rotate almost through 360 degrees.
They already have the costs under control in any case: ata reasonable 179.95 Euros (RRP) makes it a secure investment in an audiovisual career.

The Movieline P3 features all the right equipment for rapid, spontaneous movie recording. Rollei’s Movieline entry-level model sets a shining example with its HD-capability, HDMI interface, 5 megapixel CMOS sensor, ‘Night Mode ’ and ‘Motion Detection’ – plus a RRP of just 129.95 Euros.
