HOYA CORPORATION Imaging Systems Division is pleased to announce the addition
of a new-retro taste, black-and-silver version of the SLR-shaped, multi-feature
PENTAX Optio I-10 camera (launched in February 2010) to its digital compact
lineup.
Named the PENTAX Optio I-10 Classic Silver, this new model was created in
response to users’ enthusiastic requests for a black-and-silver appearance
reminiscent of the beloved SLR film cameras of the past. The combination of a
black-colored front panel with a high-quality, textured-leather-like finish and
silver-colored top and bottom panels results in an elegant, new-retro taste look
closely resembling that of a classic SLR camera. It is a unique design that will
make it a very personal photographic tool for many photo enthusiasts.
Developed to be a digital compact camera unlike any other, the PENTAX Optio I-10
offers a unique combination of a palmtop-sized, lightweight body and a classic
SLR-like appearance. It is also packed with a host of user-friendly features and
the latest picture-taking functions — from the high image quality assured by
approximately 12.1 effective megapixels, an optical 5X zoom lens with
approximately 28mm wide-angle coverage and an CCD-shift-type shake reduction
system, to a set of digital filters including a creative Toy Camera filter and a
16:9 wide LCD screen as well as a HD 720p video function. As a result, the Optio
I-10 has been very well received in the market since its launch earlier this
year

Photo Quote: What I feel is that the picture-taking process, anyway a greater part of it, is an intuitive thing. You can't go out and logically plan a picture, but when you come back, reason then takes over and verifies or rejects whatever you've done. So that's why I say that reason and intuition are not in conflict--they strengthen each other. - Wynn Bullock
