Photo Training Overseas are pleased to announce that the destination for
their 21st Anniversary conference will be one of the most popular ever -
Lanzarote. The dates: 24-31 January 2008. The venue is the luxurious H10 Rubicon
Palace in Playa Blanca in the most southern part of the island which boasts the
best weather! What’s more it has no less than six swimming pools, three
restaurants, a pool snack bar, a Pub, Boutique, Children’s Club, fully-equipped
health centre and thalassotherapy treatment area with plenty of daytime sports
activities including scuba diving plus superb evening entertainment. The island
is pretty special too: around three hundred ‘now dormant’ volcanoes formed the
ash and crater moonscape that covers much of Lanzarote. But if the interior is
eerily empty, the coast is vibrantly lively – with great beaches hemming
relaxing retreats and busy resorts. When you look within you will find some
unusual places such as ‘Fire Mountain’ and the wonderful underground caves and
amphitheatre.
Will the speaker line-up measure up to this fantastic location – it most
certainly will - in fact “overwhelming” is the only word to describe the line-up
of speakers PTO has put together for this unique 21st Anniversary event. So who
are these talented people? Well, just try this for starters. Leading the main
workshops will be –
Evening seminars will again include a line up of some of the UK’s leading
specialist speakers – Gordon McGowan on modern wedding photography. Les Pringle
on portrait posing with special emphasise on how to pose hands. Llewellyn Robins
on how to achieve professional qualifications. The usual PTO features will
remain in place - a subsidised cultural trip, Gala Awards Night, print
critique/competition, photo exhibition and a trade show featuring all PTO
sponsoring companies,
For accommodation, there’s a choice of half-board (breakfast and dinner) or,
”all-inclusive” which provides, breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon snacks as
well as locally produced beer and wine with selected spirits available from
10.00am – 11.00pm. A pay bar is in operation from 11.00pm – 1.00am in the hotels
popular English Pub. Judging by the last time PTO visited Lanzarote, demand will
be high so if you want to be in on this fantastic week of learning, networking
and all round good fun, we suggest you book it in your diary now then go to
www.pto-uk.com where you can view PTO’s brand new, informative and lively
