Test-Drive the Hydrophobia Raincover

If you are a sports or wildlife photographer, we’d like to hear from you.

We are launching a Test Drive program for our new Hydrophobia 300 - 600 raincover. The Test Drive program allows the first 150 photographers who meet the criteria below to try the product before they buy it.

Hydrophobia is the first rain cover specifically designed to be pre-mounted for quick deployment. When it appears that it may rain, you simply attach the Hydrophobia over your lens before going out into the field, rolling it up tight and out of the way. Then, when weather threatens, simply unroll the rain cover over the rest of the lens and body, securely protecting both. The rain cover fits onto a 300 f2.8, 400 f2.8, 500 f4, and 600 f4.

There are four requirements for participation in our Test Drive program:

  1. You must be a sports or wildlife photographer.
  2. After you test the product, you must send us a detailed evaluation of what worked and what didn’t.
  3. You are allowed to use the product for two weeks at no charge - if you don’t like it, you can return it. If we don’t receive the product back within 4 weeks from the day it was shipped, your credit card will be charged.
  4. You must be a resident of the United States. (This is because shipping costs on returned gear are expensive.)

Go to http://www.thinktankphoto.com/testdrive to be one of the first 150 photographers to test drive the Hydrophobia. The fabric used is ten times as waterproof as normal fabric. Instead of a “spray” coating, a “film” is applied to the underside of the fabric, as well as a tricot mesh to protect it, making it a far more impenetrable three-layer fabric. In addition a waterproof tape is applied to all seams, providing an even more waterproof barrier.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Brian Erwin

Essential Skills for Nature Photography

Photo Quote: The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson,
