Picture Framing - the finishing touch

Quite often overlooked by professional photographers is the finishing touch of a beautiful picture frame to give that perfect finishing touch.

There are many companies who offer excellent quality ready mad frames however these tend to come in standard sizes. Often priced competitively and readily available however a stock has to be held by the photographer in a range of size to meet customer demands.

Ready-made frames are easy to complete with bendable fixings in the back so that the photograph can be easily dropped in and the task completed in seconds.

Some specialist ready-made companies such as Border Frames provide innovative frames for modern portrait photography also Ultimat have created and designed a range of mounts and frames that are simply stunning and innovative for photographers.

The drawback however is that the range of products available in standard sizes can be a little restricting; therefore making your own frames is a worthwhile consideration. It also gives the photographer an extra string to their bow and can create an income stream of it’s own, along with new customers who also may wish to have the needs of a professional photographer.

The investment isn’t that great when you consider the returns available

Photo Quote: It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter, because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the ordinary. - David Bailey
