Synopsis:
Day 2: will start bright and early at 0900. John will talk you through what to look for in your images and how to critique your work. Then everyone will be asked to submit their favourite image from the previous day for peer review. This may sound daunting but is a fantastic learning experience and will develop your powers of critique on your own, and other peoples, images.

The purpose of this days shooting is to develop your technique when working with flash. Whether on camera or off it has it's uses and can add significant mood and depth to your images. John will talk you through the techniques described in his book,"ONE LIGHT FLASH" using speedlights and then move onto using Elinchrom Quadra Rangers in both studio and location settings. You will learn how to use speedlights in TTL and manual mode. You will learn why one flash can be essential but sometimes two, three, four or five can be even better. You will learn the differences between modifiers, why flash meters can be useful, how to blend flash with ambient light to create mood and how to use gels, grids, snoots, octas, softboxes, umbrellas to influence direction, strength and quality of light, depending on what you wish to produce.

You will have the chance to absorb the lessons learnt and then shoot your own setups with the models both indoors and out.

Again we'll dine together at 6:30pm before an evening speaker joins us. After an education from them you can have an early night or hit the bar for a final evening debrief.
