Venue History: Manor House built in 1755 for the Swinfen family, local landowners. The Edwardian Ballroom added for the 21st Birthday of Patience Swinfen, daughter of the then owners. Patience has one of the Suites named after her. In the 20th century the house was left to ruin until the present owners bought it in the late 1980s and lovingly restored it back to its former glory retaining many period features whilst adding modern twists in decor and appliances such as ipod docking stations in each room.
