Silchester House :-
A Victorian mansion specialising in weddings and private parties, the House has been hugely popular since it opened in 1999, and is perfect for parties of all shapes and sizes. As you would expect of such a property, the House comes with its own complement of staff – including your very own private chef – and 12 beautiful bedrooms. All Yours, Exclusively.
Larger weddings, up to 180 guests, can make use of the fully equipped and marvelously spacious Marquee for their banquet, yet without fear of losing the feel of a House Party. The party will spread out to make full use of the entire house, particularly all four reception rooms. The Summer Wedding will also enjoy the stunning grounds – Pimm’s on the lawn!
For the smaller event, the Music Room will host to your banquet as well as to your Ceremony, giving a cosy feel, ideal for Winter Weddings. As the days grow shorter the house takes on a different aspect – grand, still, but warm and homely, with fully functional fireplaces throughout. Serve Mulled Wine to your guests in the Library or Drawing Room – it’s more like home than home.
