The magnificence of Mar Hall is a fine example of Gothic Architecture, courtesy of the eminent Sir Robert Smirke M.A. Steeped in history, the Earl of Mar Estate holds many fascinating stories, with reference made to the likes of Mary Queen of Scot and Robert the Bruce. Built in 1828, the present Mar Hall was constructed 100 years after the famous Earl's death and, after a massive restoration, its owners proudly present the city with a precious gem.
