Buxton Pavilion Gardens :-
Historic building and beautiful gardens in the centre of Buxton. Used as a venue for a variety of things including wedding ceremonies and receptions. Have 4 licenced venues on site including the Bandstand in the Pavilion Garden grounds

CARRYING THE BRIDE OVER THE THRESHOLD
Traditionally, the bride had to enter her new home the first time through the front door. If she tripped or stumbled while entering it was considered to be very bad luck. Hence the tradition of the groom carrying the bride over the threshold.
