Wedding insurance policies provided by specialist insurer

Ecclesiastical through insurance brokers The Pavey Group will be available at over 80 of The National Trust’s properties and venues used for civil ceremonies this summer. A donation of 15% of the total premium paid will be made to The Trust for each policy taken out*.

1,200 weddings take place at National Trust properties each year. Popular venues include Wimpole Hall near Cambridge, Quarry Bank Mill near Manchester and Osterley Park in London.

Ecclesiastical’s wedding insurance plan provides cover for cancellation or curtailment, re-arrangement, attire, presents, rings, cakes and flowers, photographs and video, failure of suppliers, transport, wedding documents, public liability, legal expenses and marquees**.

Steve Wood, Director and General Manager of Ecclesiastical’s UK insurance business, said: "You get one chance to enjoy your special day so it makes sense to do everything you can to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible. Wedding insurance covers any mishaps in the run-up to the day, such as bankrupt suppliers, as well as any unfortunate accident on the day itself such as a torn dress or dropped cake!"
